 During the month of April, we will be focusing on the concepts of rhyming and alliteration.  We also will be continuing to practice and perfect story retelling using familiar stories. 

Beginning on April 5th, we will be having a storyteller from the CT Storytellers on Wednesday mornings who will come and share the art of telling a story using many different mediums. 

We will be focusing on counting, cardinality, and number operations.

We are finishing up Force and Motion and will be moving on to plants life as we move further into the season of Spring.  

Dramatic Play Scenario~Veterinarian

We are in the beginning stages of our last scenario of the school year. The teachers are providing the students with the background knowledge that they will need to take on the roles of the scenario.

Students are able to choose their play area during the 45 minute time frame. They can choose from areas such as: Art, Discovery, Block, Writing, and Sensory. 

Identifying the Problem-We have been working on identifying the problem and coming up with appropriate solutions. 

Using a strong respectful voice- Students are encouraged to use a strong respectful voice to let others know what they need and want. 

Gross Motor Skills- Students are practicing riding bikes, swinging on swings, throwing, kicking, and maintaining balance. These activities are practiced during outdoor learning and as they participate in activities during gym class.

Fine Motor Skills- Students are practicing strengthening their fine motors daily. Coloring, cutting, stringing beads, play dough, and making puzzles.
