"I Do, We Do, You Do" strategy can be used when introducing a new task or to help your child acquire the skills they need to master a concept they are having trouble with. First, you show your child how to complete a task (I Do). Then, you and your child complete the task together (We Do) which can be repeated over the course of a few days. Finally, when your child seems able to complete the task on their own, you encourage them to try it on their own (You Do). The video below describes this technique.
