    Hello Parents and KMS Students,
This year, some of our students have been learning about community helpers and roles of people in our community through pretend play and real-life experiences.    Children learn vocabulary, language, social and emotional skills through play with others.   They learn to share, negotiate, plan, carry out a plan, and formulate a story (narrative) through play.   I would highly encourage parents to provide opportunities for creative/ pretend play with neighbors, family members, and peers as much as possible.   You can model how to engage in play scenarios by playing with your child.   Your child will have fun and learn at the same time!
Email me at dorbegozo@killinglyschools.org with any questions.
Also, please check out the KPS Speech and Language website with information for parents as
well as links to games for kids.
    Hope to see you soon.
