    Welcome to the RED Team

This will be my 12th year teaching at KIS and my 28th year in education! I live in Pomfret, CT with my husband and 2 boys. We lead an active lifestyle and enjoy the outdoors, baseball, basketball, golf & traveling.

Imagine a classroom where students have just completed a science investigation and a whole class discussion is under way. Students put forth competing ideas in their clearest and strongest forms, even though some ideas may turn out to be more correct then others. Students explain their ideas in detail with evidence. They listen carefully to each other with respect. Students take seriously and evaluate their own and others competing ideas. In other words, they are intellectually engaged.
