We are dedicated to providing the children of Killingly a quality schooling experience that relies on the best practice to ensure every child achieves at high levels.
Our administrative team strives to support families and our faculties to the best of our ability.  The following statements outline our core beliefs, values, and assumptions. Professional educators who create learning environments for students that foster inquiry and develop a passion for learning, will establish a firm foundation in  which students can grow and prosper.  Our school system must create safeguards that protect all students from the disadvantages of social class injustices, poor economic conditions, and learning disabilities that may prevent a student from reaching his or her full potential.  Our first safeguard will be to ensure all students are engaged in a rigorous and relevant curriculum that is delivered with high quality instruction.  Tapping into student interest and presenting challenging opportunities is at the heart of motivating individuals to pursue active life-long learning habits to achieve at high levels.
It is our belief that every child has the potential to be successful and deserves the opportunity to live an enriching and fulfilling life.  We believe that all children can learn at high levels, given that conditions for success are established.  Additionally, it is our responsibility to ensure that each child appreciates the aesthetics of life and has the skills and knowledge to pursue his or her passions.
In order to ensure that our aspirations are attained, we believe if administrators and curriculum supervisors conduct frequent classroom observations and provide teachers with effective feedback, then teachers will improve their instruction and students will be exposed to high quality learning environments.  Students exposed to high quality instruction and curriculums are more likely to achieve at high levels.
The Killingly Public School system is an organization of highly effective professionals.  In partnership with all stakeholders, we are confident that our children will succeed!
