    High School Athletic Director

    For current KEA members: this is a stipend position which includes a reduction in two teaching periods, level I stipend of $7,664 and 20 additional days at a per diem rate.

    For non-KEA members: will be compensated at a rate equivalent to 0.33 FTE, level 1 stipend of $7,664, and 20 additional per diem days.

    Non-KEA Members: Salary Range: BA, Step 2 through 6th Year, Max Step

    Example: BA, Step 2:   0.33 FTE @ $43,522 ($14,362.26) + Stipend $7,664 + 20 days @ 231.50 per Diem ($4,360) = $26,656.26

    Example: 6th Year, Max Step: 0.33 FTE @ $80,240 ($26,479.20) + Stipend $7,664 + 20 days @ 426.80 per Diem ($8,536) = $42,679.20

    NON CERTIFIED VACANCIES FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR

    Secretary - Class B+, Pupil Services: Full time Class B+ Secretary position available at Pupil Personnel Services.  Position is in a fast-paced office environment and successful candidate must be able to multitask.  Candidate must also be computer literate with readiness to learn new programs.  Position is 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year; benefits. 

    BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM:

    18-89 Before After School Program (BASP) Lead – Killingly Central  School 

    Part-Time, 12 month position.  Successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, organization and supervision of after school activities for school age children.  Must be at least 20 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalency and have at least 12 credits in early childhood education or related field.  Experience required. 

    18-90 Before After School Program (BASP) Assistant

    Part-Time, 12 month position, successful candidate will have experience working with school age children in a group setting. Must be 18 years of age. Some college courses preferred.

    18-91  Before After School Program (BASP) Assistant Substitutes

    Successful candidates will have experience working with school age children in a group setting. Must be 18 years of age. Some college courses preferred.

    Required:  CPR/AED and First Aid

     

    Part Time Special Education Instructional Assistants:

    Part time special education instructional assistant positions available district wide to work with special education students.  Experience preferred, Associates Degree or Para Pro Certification is required.  Position is 19.75 hours per week, 10 months a year, $13.68 per hour.

       

     SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR
     
    Substitute Teachers:  Needed to work in Pre-School, Elementary, Intermediate, and High School setting,  Bachelors' Degree required,  No benefits,  Daily rates are: $95.00 with Bachelors' Degree or $105.00 with Certification
     
    Substitute Instructional Assistants: Needed to work in Pre-School, Elementary,  Intermediate, and High School settings, Associates Degree or para-preferred, No benefits, Hourly rate $10.10.
     
    Substitute Nurses:  Needed to work in Pre-School, Elementary, Intermediate and High School settings.  No benefits, RN License required $140 per diem.
     
    Substitute Custodians:  Needed to work in Pre-School, Elementary, Intermediate and High School settings.  No benefits, $10.50 hour.

    OPERATIONS & MAINTAINENCE:

    2nd Shift Custodian - Full time 2nd shift custodian positions available, position is 12 months per year with benefits.

    Maintainer I - Provide  general repairs, and maintenance to the school district's buildings, grounds, equipment and boiler/heating systems.  Must have basic knowledge of  HVAC, electrical, plumbing, meters & gages, diagnostic tools, and carpentry.  Prior experience in any or all of the trades is required.
