Operations and Maintenance Supervisor

To manage and maintain the physical school plant (including playgrounds, athletic fields and property) in a condition of operational excellence that is safe, clean, efficient and results in an acceptable environment conducive to learning.  Oversees all maintenance/custodial needs for the district.




      • Bachelors’ degree preferred in engineering, facilities management or in another field relevant to the performance responsibilities, or the equivalent combination of training and successful experience.
      • Prior supervisory and/or management experience required
      • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of building operating systems and regulatory codes
      • Must possess basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC and facilities operations
      • Must have knowledge of relevant OSHA, EPA and other applicable and appropriate regulations
      • Preferred experience in coordinating capital projects including understanding building specifications and blue prints and working knowledge of building codes
      • A minimum of five years of experience in maintenance and/or facilities operation, preferably including experience in a school district
      • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all staff
      • Must possess computer technology skills
      • Such additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable


 Nurse Supervisor, District-Wide
 Supervises the nurses assigned to the other schools in the district. Coordinates and implements health service/education goals for student/family/community addressing students’ growing health needs. The position is assigned to Killingly Memorial School, provides direct medical care, treatment and consultation to students in need.
Connecticut RN license required. Prior nursing experience within a school setting preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Position is full time with benefits.
Substitute Teachers:  Needed to work in Pre-School, Elementary, Intermediate, and High School setting,  Bachelors' Degree required,  No benefits,  Daily rates are:
 $75.00 with Bachelors' Degree
$85.00 with Certification
Substitute Instructional Assistants: Needed to work in Pre-School, Intermediate, and High School setting, Associates Degree or para-preferred, No benefits, Hourly rate $10.10.
