Congratulations, Jennifer Nadeau!
2009 KPS Teacher of the Year!
Below is the introduction presented by Kate Brien, the 2008 Killingly Teacher of the Year.
Today I have the honor of introducing a teacher who not only helped write the school mission, but lives each day by it. She promotes responsibility, excellence and is dedicated to life long learning.
Both teachers and parents spoke of her true professionalism and dynamic energy; guiding and encouraging students, mentoring new teachers, chaperoning dances, advising ski club, creating curriculum, negotiating union issues, the list goes on and on!
She serves as the High School Assistant Drama Director, and if you pass by her freshman English classroom, you will often see students enthusiastically performing some dramatic production, complete with playbills and costumes. She expects quality and is an inspiration to all who come in contact with her
With her husband, Mark, and her young son, Aiden, our 2009 Teacher of the Year creates a feeling of family and a strong sense of community within Killingly Public Schools.
We celebrate her dedication and choose Jen Nadeau as our ambassador.
